That ’90s Show on review: Netflix brings Nostalgia to the table

Guys, have you checked out ‘That ’90s Show’ yet?

It’s the latest spin-off from the beloved ‘That ’70s Show’ and it comes with both pros and cons. Sure, it might take a little bit of time to find out if you like it or not, but that’s alright. It still feels like we’re hanging out with our old friends from the 70’s, and some of that teenhood charm continues.

And while we’re talking about teens, let’s talk about the new cast, they bring such a warm energy to the show that you can almost forget that they’re part of Generation X. Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith, now playing grandparents, provide that familiar connection to the original series and, who knows, this might be the first time younger audiences are meeting these characters. For all we know, some might never even heard of the old 70’s Show.

‘That ’90s Show’ isn’t trying to be like ‘Fuller House’ with its forced reboot vibes, nor does it have the same energy as the recent ‘Saved by the Bell’ reboot. It’s just a good old 90s sitcom, with a conflict resolved in 22 minutes, and that’s easy for the eyes.

Will this show make it big? Well, it’ll depend on what new stories it has to offer and how teh cast and bring them to life. It’s always nice to have a fresh spin on an old classic, right?

It does bring Nostalgia to the table, because we all know thow Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and the rest of the cast made us wait for every episode to come out. It was fun, it was light and charming, and sometimes so goofy that you’ve just gotta love the simplicity of it.

Think about it for a moment. Let me bring you back for a bit.

School, maybe you’re a senior, maybe younger, older? 1998. First time it aired. Thoughts?

Exactly. You feel it too. It’s the Nostalgia coming back for more. I remember the logo like it was yesterday. From school, did my homework (Or did I) and went to the coach and I was ready for some soda and television time. Yep, it does feel good to think about.

We hope you get to have some of that same feeling with this Show, best of luck 90’s!
