RUSH! of Måneskin: The energetic hype of today’s Rock’n Roll

Written by: Tom Danny P.

“Rush!” by Måneskin is a dynamic, energetic, and youthful rock album delivering from start to finish. Despite their “sudden” rise to prominence, Måneskin proves they’re a band with talent to back up the hype. The album explores the territory of arena-friendly rock with influences from Arctic Monkeys and Red Hot Chili Peppers, showcasing the band’s swagger and sass, and OH do we DIG the sass. Can’t tell you enough that this album is on repeat at the moment.

17 tracks, over 50 minutes of “Rush!” offers a listening experience, both thrilling and engaging. The ballad “Timezone” takes us on a journey to a swelling climax, while “Bla Bla Bla” showcases the band’s sense of humor with its detached vocals and playful lyrics – also referring to the “Hater’s” behind the scenes. BUT, who cares for hate,, we’re all about LOVE here at Freddie. And we’ll throw all the LOVE we can at Måneskin.

The hit single “Feel” has the potential to become a stadium anthem, for real, it’s so easy to follow it, it’s surprisingly full of everything you’d want from the top shelf of a Rock mix between the olds vs. the new. The Italian language of the song, “LA Fine” continues in the spirit of the band’s Eurovision-winning song “Zitti e Buoni”, with Damiano David’s passionate vocal riding a lively riff and rhythm.

If not for you

Don’t even try to tell us this doesn’t please your ears. “It’s not for you” delivers a pure sound with such great vocals, power, sadness and so many feelings from the tunes. And the “Ta-la-la-ta, ta-la-la-ta” just sweeps us of our feet while we’ve got our headset on max vol.

Top it off with confidence

To top it all off, the album ends with two more hit singles, “Supermodel” with its choppy and funky guitar and “The Loneliest”, which is also one of those songs you can just lay down in bed. Stop everything. Put the volume to the max and close your eyes. Listen.

Måneskin’s got the confidence to create their own vibe, making it a must-listen for fans of modern rock. f you haven’t heard it already, swipe down to the Spotify seection below. Listen in and enjoy.
