Hate him or love him, Ozzy Osbourne has defined the standards for what it means to be successful in the world of rock music. Having entertained the industry’s toughest critics since way back in the 1970s under the metal outfit, Heavy Sabbath, Osbourne’s musical career reached the summit of the charts from the very beginning and stayed planted there for many years. As a multi-talented performer with featured roles on the screen, both small and big, Osbourne has continued to reaffirm his status as a prodigious talent, a forward-thinking and dynamic musician, as well as an influential global superstar.

Becoming one of the most ubiquitous hit makers in the world of rock music, the way he has continued to evolve into a dominating musical force needs to be studied for future reference for most of these upcoming artists who can’t seem to stomach fame and outlive it!

And coming to think of it now that his 2022 “Patient Number 9” album received 4 nominations, it is really difficult to find a rock performer who has moved from his rock roots to international fame more successfully than Ozzy Osbourne. I think it comes with the menu, because nothing else quite explains it.

The perfect voice for the Godfather of metal rock

Osbourne has continued to maintain that mainstream stardom, balancing records and stage shows with film, TV, and other multimedia projects alongside charitable activities. He has been referred to as the ‘Godfather of metal rock’ and his voice has been hailed as perfectly suited for Rock & Roll.

Coming back to the “Patient Number 9” album, the just concluded Grammy awards saw this album honored with 4 nominations, namely, “Best Rock Album,” “Best Rock Song,” and “Best Rock Performance” for the title track featuring Jeff Beck, and lastly, “Best Metal Performance” for the track, “Degradation Rules,” featuring Tony Lommi.

This album really enabled him to break ground as one of the most creative forces in rock music, highlighting him as a star who keeps refusing to stand still. An album that was met with record-setting commercial success, which was further underscored by the Grammy nominations!

A title track of remarkable glory

The title track has been unanimously acclaimed, as you’d imagine, and has been heralded as an authentic face of melodic rock. Slightly evading the more abrasive side of metal rock tactically, this one is less-abrasive, angst-free, and more melodic rock, but still with the stinging venom you’d expect from a force like Obsbourne, who has proved time and again that he is more than capable of either remaining slightly ahead of the curve or just naturally adapting to trends with remarkable stylistic flexibility.

“Immortal,” featuring Mike McCready, is a powerful anthemic rock song that has a howling presence. Through the guitarist’s menacing rage and the drummer’s bloodthirsty willpower, the true passion of a metal rock masterpiece and in this sublime performance that cannot be matched anywhere else.

“Degradation Rules” has a nice combination of clean guitar notes countered by fast-paced distorted riffs, with Osbourne and guest performer lommi building up tension and grit to deliver a solemn, anthemic vibe that is drenched in metal rock!

It is little surprise that Ozzy Osbourne has been hailed as the “emperor of rock sound”—he is the musical mastermind behind some of the most memorable rock hits of our time, and even with this deservedly acclaimed album, his indelible print continues to be stamped on countless recordings to establish himself as one of the most iconic rock musicians in the last 30 years.

Well deserved, Ozzy!

Tell you what; this is everything that Ozzy Osbourne deserves. In celebration of his “Number 9” album getting 4 nominations, Osbourne is giving a special discount for every purchase of the album. Good news doesn’t come any better than this—hurry up while the offer still stands!
